|Abstract:||Two issues to watch out for when setting up LANSA for the Web as a Web server on Windows 2003|
|Submitted By:||LANSA Technical Support|
There are 2 problems that may be encountered when installing the LANSA ISAPI Plugin on Windows 2003 Server:
- The installation is not able to grant execute permissions for the virtual directory
/lansaweb. The settings may be as per image 1.
The correct settings should be as per Image 2.
In particular, Execute permissions in the lansaweb properties windows should be set to 'Scripts and Executables'.
- By default IIS 6.0, which is shipped with Windows 2003 server,
prohibits all unknown ISAPI extensions from execution. An entry for lansaweb.dll
needs to be added to the list of Web Server Extensions.
Refer to image 3 to add a Web service extension called lansaweb linking it to lansaweb.dll that resides within the IIS Plugin directory structure.
Note: You will need to use the latest version of the ISAPI Plugin which includes Windows 2003 support. Refer to the LANSA for the Web EPCs.
You may need to restart your IIS in order for the change to take effect.
