Report does not print using Windows extended printing

LANSA for Windows now has the ability to use Microsoft's extended printing facilities via some new X_RUN parameters. These new parameters are of the form WPxx and are detailed in the LANSA for Windows documentation.

A situation has arisen when using the WPFD= parameter. This parameter controls how and when users of the application are prompted to select font details via the standard Windows font dialog.

The options for this parameter are D (default), E (every time), F (first time) and A (automatic). If D is specified the default font that is used is MS LineDraw. If a printer does not support this font then the following errors will occur:

Basically, these messages are saying that the default font that has been selected is not supported by the printer. There is a very simple solution to this problem.

In the X_RUN command specify the WPDF= (default font) parameter and select a font that the printer supports e.g. WPDF='Courier'

Now, when the X_RUN command is executed the following dialog will be generated. Courier is the selected font but any font can be used that the printer supports.

Note: If WPFD=F (first time) was specified, then once a font was selected in the step above this would now be used as the default font and this dialog box is not generated again after the first time.
