Clearing the browser cache is highly recommended to maintain the integrity between requested content by users and the page received from the Web server. It is recommended this action be performed when new versions of Web applications have been upgraded or downloaded.
IE8 introduces a new option, Preserve Favorites website data, that may cause this browser's cache not be cleared and will cause user confusion.
Typically the Web site you are working with will be in the favorites list. If the Preserve Favorites website data option shown below is left checked then the cache all the favorite web sites will not be cleared.
Solution:
In IE8, uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and select all other options to completely clear your browser cache.
