  • Real-time information of sales, returns and stock movement of suppliers’ goods.
  • Order forecasting.

Receiving and Put-Away

The merchandise reception takes place on the docks, where the goods are checked against the relative manifests. The system compares actual receipts against purchased orders and reports the differences. Receipts can be held if any differences are found. Barcode scanning significantly improves performance and accuracy in the receiving process. It supports standard formats (e.g. UCC/EAN-128).

  • Standard pallets (one product per pallet).
  • Mixed pallets (multiple products per pallet).
  • New pallets can be built according to warehouse storage specifications.
  • Monitor pending receipt tasks per dock or supplier.
  • Forklifts are guided automatically by the system to put-away the merchandise to proper storage locations.

Returns

Returns are handled similarly to the standard receipts. However they are related to specific customer order shipments to accelerate identification of returned items. Returns are categorized and processed.

  • Healthy Items (can either be stored in the warehouse or returned to supplier)
  • Defective Items (elimination of defective items or returned to supplier)

Receiving Returns of Healthy Merchandise and Put-Away

  • Authorized users identify the returned goods and, if needed, build new pallets.
  • Authorized users transfer quantities directly to picking areas and/or stock locations.
  • Forklifts are guided automatically by the system to put-away the merchandize to proper storage locations.

Quality Control and H.A.C.C.P. System

  • Ability to block particular lots during merchandise reception and returns.
  • Ability to unblock particular lots to make them available.
  • Application of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
  • Tracking of particular lots.

Sales Orders Management

  • Support of product catalogs per customer.
  • Sales orders entry is done via web or via interfacing to external systems.
  • Provide accurate information to customers about stock availability.
  • Schedule and prioritize sales orders.
  • Forecasts of picking volumes (number of pallets, packages etc.).
  • Stock control (automatic identification and allocation of the right stock for every sales order).
  • The stock rotation rules can be based on FIFO, FEFO, LIFO etc. standards.

Picking

  • Picking can be performed by RFs and/or by printed picking lists.
  • Picking list can be assigned to an individual picker or a group of pickers.
  • Picking of packages, boxes or pieces is performed at the picking areas.
  • Picking of pallets is performed by the forklifts, which are guided automatically by the system to transfer the merchandise from the stock shelves to the docks.
  • Forklifts are guided automatically by the system to perform any picking area replenishment.
  • Monitoring of pickers and forklifts tasks, in real time, using the Live Picking Module (pending picking, done picking, picking volumes and picking time, per picking wave, picker task, sales order. Real-time picking area control).
  • Picking statistics (per year/month, product group, product, picker, and customer).

Picking Areas Replenishment

  • Replenishment is based on predefined minimum quantities per product picking area.
  • On time replenishment triggered by picking wave (automated by the generation of picking lists).
  • On time replenishment triggered by picking process (automated by picking area stock balance).
  • On time replenishment triggered by the warehouse staff (to give priority to specific picking areas).
  • Off time replenishment (this process is performed independently of picking waves, so during picking no replenishment traffic is required).

Packing, Loading and Shipping

  • Split of sales orders to one or more shipments.
  • Checking and packing.

  • Forklifts are guided automatically by the system to put-away the merchandise to proper storage locations.
  • Authorized forklift users can manually transfer merchandise to new storage locations.
  • In case of some defective or below quality control inventory, temporary suspension of warehouse movements can be achieved by using storage location or inventory blocking.
